I was about 11 years old and my family and I were taking a trip to Disney World in Florida. I was so excited and wanted to make sure that I would catch my own memories. When we got there, I bought a pink 110 film camera with Minnie Mouse on it. I was so excited! I took pictures of everything I could. Although I bought more film, developing it was another story. I ran out of money by the time we got back home. I put the film in a drawer and there it was for some time. I had forgotten about it.<br /><br />Years later, I look back and think... WOW... who knew. Here I am embarking on my own adventure of being a professional photographer. I own my own business that during a recession is slow but, still worth taking a click.<br /><br />Dreams are always dreams until you have the guts or as we say in spanish "los ganas", to make them reality.<br /><br />While I began many years ago with a simple 110 film camera, my first real opportunity came when applied for a position with Shugarts Studio in Lubbock, Texas. The women there were amazing. They are still my life long friends. They tought me the value of photography and how fun it could be. Posing... </div><br /><div></div><br /><div>When dealing with Portrait photography, posing can be the hardest thing. Here's the deal... it's not where to put people... it's the little things..</div><br /><div></div><br /><div>-double check mom's hair</div><br /><div>-make sure fingers are not spread out</div><br /><div>- make sure button down shirt are not spreading... boobage...</div><br /><div>- get couples close but not so close that they give each other shadows</div><br /><div>- with bigger individual, do not shoot directly straight on... bring your camera.. taller and shoot downward... this will flatter your individual... One idea is to purchase the WoW Photoshop guide. I bought this for CS2 a long time ago and loved it. It came with a variety of different shapes, textures, actions, swatches... It's a great way to learn different things in photoshop.</div><br /><div>Also, look up the pioneer woman... she's great! She offers 2 sets of free photoshop actions... these actions are amazing... I love using them in my shots. You'll have to search her name... I thought I booked marked her website. </div><br /><p>For instance, in this shot above, I used a soft focus and lighten action from wow. I love them. .showed this photo to my friend. Her husband was in awe...
